T.I.L.T. sponsored
a pancake breakfast for the Alzheimer's Association at the Amsterdam
High School. Although mother nature brought in the clouds and
much rain for this event, several T.I.L.T. members attended to
assist in working at the breakfast which was considered a success.
A special thank you to the T.I.L.T. who were able to help out
on this Sunday morning.

Are you a young
professional in Montgomery County? Are you an employer or business
owner with young professional employees in Montgomery County?
Do you wish to make a difference in the community, expand your
network base or sphere of influence and grow professionally? If
so I believe we have the solution to accomplish all three of these
goals mentioned above in one organization. I would like to introduce
or reintroduce The Innovative Leaders of Tomorrow commonly know
as T.I.L.T. We are a committee of The Montgomery County Chamber
of Commerce. TILT was formed in the summer of 2005 to provide
a forum for young professionals in Montgomery County to network,
provide professional growth opportunities and perform community
outreach activities. Participation in this committee is a truly
unique benefit for Montgomery County businesses who are members
or potential members of The Chamber.
Over the past eighteen
months we have made great strides in growing our membership with
quality participants. We have had high energy mixers focusing
on “open” networking that include business showcases
with products targeted towards young professionals, Fishbowl luncheons
which provide the opportunity for TILT members to have an open
dialogue with seasoned chamber and community leaders and some
small community outreach projects. The Fishbowl lunch setting
and format has been very well received by the folks participating.
Learning from your peers and from chamber/ community leaders helps
make the hurdles or mistakes we face in our daily lives either
non existent or easier to overcome with some suggestions from
others that have succeeded.
For 2007 and beyond
we as a committee have set some meaningful goals. We would like
to grow the membership of TILT with 50 quality new, excited and
willing participants. We hope we have a mix of new members from
current chamber and prospective chamber members. Let’s not
forget The Montgomery County Chambers and TILT are membership
organizations and MEMBERSHIP alone should be the biggest benefit
and attractor. Our second goal is to make strides in Montgomery
County as partner to the community related committees and non
for profit organizations working hard everyday to make our home
and workplaces better. Enriching the community we live in has
intrinsic value and I welcome all that work towards that common
goal. Take the leap of faith and become a valuable part of TILT,
The Chamber and the community.
